WEATHER
- The dark, gloomy sky cried with rain.
 - Rain was pouring down in torrents.
 - It is now raining cats and dogs. We have to stay indoors.
 - A streak of lightning lit up the gloomy sky.
 - The sky was overcast and threatened to rain at any moment.
 - The sun peeped out of the clouds - hurray, we can go out to play soon!
 - It was a bright and sunny day. Not a single cloud was in sight!
 
Places
- The sky lit up with bright colours as the fireworks shot up in the night sky.
 - The house was in bad shape and needed repairs.
 - I always had good memories of the fun we had on the beach
 - I will never forget the day he gently held my hand
 - Singapore is a truly clean and green city with lots of excitement waiting to happen.
 - The streets are lined with excited children, waiting eagerly for the floats to arrive.

- She was a tall, slim lady with a broad smile on her face.
 - The stocky boy was munching away at his pizza.
 - The well-dressed teacher stood a head taller that all the other students.
 - She was indeed a very pretty lady, and he was 'Prince Charming' !
 - A tall, well built man stood at the entrance of the ancient building.
 - My father is a bespectacled man.
 - He listened attentively to the principal.
 - He wore a pair of worn-out shoes.
 - That man was plastered in tattoos.
 - They both had similar tattoos of a red serpent.
 - His shirt was tattered and torn.
 - My best friend is a caring and thoughtful person, always ready with a smile.
 - Mrs Tan, my sixty-year old neighbour stood in front of me, looking dishevelled.
 - She was not her usual impeccable self.
 - Her usual bright eyes were dilated and her hands were trembling.
